Every year, Canadian high schools can nominate one student and Cegeps may nominate up to four students. The number and distribution of scholarships will be confirmed on or before March 1, 2022. In 2021, 100 scholarships were awarded.
Shubh Patel wins a Schulich Leader Scholarship worth $80,000!
Patel is a Grande Prairie Composite High School student who is being recognized for his outstanding academic achievements and his active role in the school community. Patel will be using this scholarship to study science at the University of Calgary. His goal is to earn a Bachelor of Science Honours with a major in Biochemistry.
“I’ve always dreamed of winning major scholarships like the Schulich and when I say dream, I mean I’ve actually dreamed about it, and being close to winning it. But in my dreams, I’ve actually never won it. When I got the call from the U of C on the afternoon of April 3 about how I was actually one of their recipients, I was ultimately in disbelief.”
