Are you passionate about bringing about social, political, and/or civil change in your community? Does a particular cause or idea have your attention? Do you hope to apply these skills to your college education? NSHSS wants to hear about it!
THree $1,000 awards are available to NSHSS high school and college members of all levels with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

- NSHSS high school members graduating in 2026, 2027, 2028, or 2029.
- 3.5 GPA or higher.
Applicants must submit:
- Prompt response of 500-800 words to the following question:
- What cause are you most passionate about advocating for, and what drives your dedication to it? Share specific examples of your involvement. They want to hear about the actions you’ve taken to support and advance this cause.
- Pictures/videos/media showing your leadership in action (optional)
- Color headshot suitable for website posting
- Academic resume
- Current Transcript (can be official or unofficial)
