The City of Regina awards scholarships to students that excel in their studies and make a difference in their community. In addition to supporting exceptional student achievement and recognizing the importance of Regina’s educational institutions, the Henry Baker Scholarship Program supports City Council’s vision of providing opportunities for young people in the community.

Eighteen scholarships of up to $2,000 are available annually.

How to Apply

All applicants must reside in Regina and attend a Regina educational institution.

Applicants must be registered full-time for the upcoming fall semester at one of the following educational institutions by May 31:

  • University of Regina (including Campion College and Luther College)
  • First Nations University of Canada – Regina campus
  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic – Regina campus
  • Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research (including Dumont Technical Institute) – Regina campus
  • Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies – Regina campus
  • A Registered Vocational School (The Style Academy, Marvel Beauty School, The Globe Theatre Conservatory, Avant-Garde College, Western College of Remedial Massage Therapies Inc. or Apex Academy of Professional Grooming and Animal Arts)

Applicants must submit transcripts and provide information about their community involvement, volunteer experience, personal or family life experiences, academic and career objectives, and how financial support would assist you.
