The Labourers’ Local 183 Scholarship Trust Fund is designed to assist Local 183 members, their children, and their grandchildren obtain a high-quality post-secondary education.
Each year, a number of scholarships will be awarded to successful applicants, as determined by an Independent Academic Committee. The Board of Trustees will determine the scholarship duration and financial amounts based on the number of applicants and available funds. One scholarship is exclusively set aside for a successful applicant with a disability or disabilities.

- Graduated from an Ontario High School, is currently attending, or will graduate from an equivalent program.
- Plan to attend or are already enrolled in a full-time recognized post-secondary institution (such as a college or university) in the upcoming academic year.
- Member, child or grandchild of a Local 183 member or retiree member who is in good standing.

An Independent Academic Committee will evaluate all submissions based on established criteria. Candidates will receive written notifications about the Committee’s decision, which will be mailed to the address provided in their application. Notifications will be sent out by the end of September each year.
