The Canada Iceland Foundation has been in existence for over 50 years.  It is a registered charity and over the years has received gifts from individuals and estates.

The Foundation grants several scholarships every year, as well as awarding grants to the young people attending the Snorri Program in Iceland.  The Foundation has over the years also made grants to various cultural activities.

How to Apply

Included with your application must be:
o    Photocopies of statements of final year of high school marks or marks of any university courses completed.
o    Two references from persons other than family members, (one of whom must be from someone with a teaching background).  References may be mailed separately.
o    In addition to the specific application details requested, a personal letter telling something of your extra-curricular activities, particular interests or skills, work experience you have had, and any other information you deem pertinent (for example, extenuating circumstances such as financial need or disabilities).

These scholarships will be awarded annually as funds permit.

An application will be considered a request for consideration for any scholarship offered by Canada Iceland Foundation.
