To be eligible for the Strike Group Canadian LGBTQ2S+ Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be an openly self-identified member of the LGBTQ2S+ Community
Make sure to include all of the following documents:
- Proof of enrollment in either post-secondary or trades program that is specific to the Energy and/or Construction industry (e.g. electrical, instrumentation, pipefitter, welder,millwright, projectmanagement, administration, finance, accounting, safety, marketing, human resources, etc.);
- Verification of Identity (Valid Driver’s License or Photo Identity Card)
- Two reference letters; and
- Completed Strike Group EDI Scholarship Application Form. In your application, provide examples of how you have been involved in, supported, or given back to the LGBTQ2S+ community.
Submit all documents together in one email to scholarships@strikegroup.ca prior to the deadline.
A panel of Strike Group employees will select the recipient of the scholarship. The panel will consider:
- Eligibility requirements
- Program of study (priority will be given to students in programs that support our industry);
- Academic and career goals;
- Community and volunteer participation;
- Contents of application; and
- Reference letters.
