Dewalt is accepting applications for the Dewalt Trades Scholarships, which provide financial assistance to those pursuing a trade degree or certificate. The program will award $200,000 in scholarships to 40 students across the United States and Canada.

Only the first 1,000 applications submitted will be considered for scholarship evaluation.

How to Apply

Applicants of the DEWALT Trades Scholarship award must:

  • Be citizens of the United States or Canada.
  • Be high school seniors or graduates, or current postsecondary undergraduate students.
  • Plan to enroll or are enrolled in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year college or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year
  • Majoring in a trade construction, industrial, motor/power sector, mechanics, or technology degree/certificate, which includes but are not limited to the following fields:
  • Automotive Technology
  • Aviation Technology
  • Carpentry
  • Construction
  • Diesel Technology
  • Electrical Technology
  • Fire Science
  • Heavy Equipment Operation
  • HVAC
  • Machinery
  • Manufacturing
  • Pipefitting
  • Plumbing
  • Welding

As part of your application, you must upload the following documents:

  • A current, complete transcript of grades. Grade reports are not accepted. Unofficial or online transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit hours for each course and term in which each course was taken
  • United States citizens: A copy of the first two pages of the most recently filed IRS Form 1040 used for the Financial Information Page (Please black out SSN)
  • Canadian citizens: A copy of the most recently filed Canadian Tax Document

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of educational and career goals and objectives
  • Unusual personal or family circumstances
  • Consideration of academic record

Financial need will be considered. Recipients must demonstrate need.

APPLICATIONS CLOSE FEBRUARY 28, 2026 AT 3:00PM CT, OR WHEN 1000 APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.

Individuals pursuing degrees/certificates in service industries such as culinary arts, cosmetology, or hospitality are ineligble.

Employees of and dependent children of Stanley Black & Decker employees and its affiliates are ineligible.
