Every year, PSF’s Stewardship Community Bursary program awards bursaries worth $2,500 to support multiple students in B.C. and the Yukon with a passion for salmon conservation and restoration. By alleviating financial barriers, they aim to foster the next generation of salmon stewards dedicated to advancing salmon recovery.

B.C. and Yukon students who are active volunteers in the aquatic stewardship community*, demonstrate financial need, and are registered full-time (minimum 12 credit hours) in at least the second year of a post-secondary education or training program that supports their goal of a career in salmon conservation.
Applicant needs to:
- be a resident of BC or the Yukon
- demonstrate financial need
- be an active member of the aquatic stewardship volunteer community*
- be enrolled full-time (second year and up) in an education or training program at a recognized B.C. or Yukon college, university or technical institute
*Although not required, applicants that can show aquatic stewardship volunteer experience will be given preference.

Applicants must submit:
- 500-word summary essay
- Academic transcripts
- Annual budget spreadsheet or BCSAF information
- COnfirmation letter from the stewardship group you volunteer with (if applicable)

Applications are accepted from August 1 through October 30 annually. The application review takes place in the fall and bursaries are typically awarded in November.
