The Giller Mantella Scholarship is a collaboration between The Giller Foundation and the Mantella Corporation. The scholarship aims to support diversity and inclusion, and is for Black, Indigenous and racialized students across Canada graduating high school and interested in continued education in creative writing and literature. The scholarship will award $10,000 to three deserving recipients each year to further their education. The program will run for three years with the potential to be extended.

You are eligible if you:
- Are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident;
- Are planning to start full-time studies in your first bachelor’s degree or diploma in English Literature, Writing or Creative Writing;
- Identify as a Black, Indigenous, or racialized student as per Statistics Canada categories;
- Have a minimum cumulative average of 75% or equivalent over the last three terms of available marks.
