SGI values higher education and recognizes that post-secondary education is important and often essential for today’s youth. In a commitment to helping students achieve their educational goals, SGI has partnered with universities and organizations to offer nine different scholarships with varying eligibility requirements.
Four annual scholarships of $2,500 will be awarded to children/legal dependents of active employees of SGI, SGI CANADA or Coachman Insurance.

Applicants must:
- Be a child/legal dependant (under 25 years old) of an active employee of SGI, SGI CANADA or Coachman Insurance.
- Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate certificate, diploma, or degree program at an accredited post-secondary campus in Canada.
- Have a minimum average of 70% in the last academic year of study.
- Complete the SGI Anniversary Scholarship application form.
- Students must provide proof of enrolment in the fall semester with their application, as well as a transcript demonstrating a minimum average of 70% in the last academic year of study.
- Demonstrate contributions to community, extracurricular activities or commitments made in balancing work, education and home responsibilities.

All applicants who meet the eligibility criteria will be entered in a draw. Winners will be notified in early October.
SGI doesn’t guarantee employment for award recipients; however, they may give recipients preferential consideration following the completion of their studies and/or for summer or co-op work terms.
