The intent of this fund is to help new immigrants and their children obtain some training, education, or accreditation for interrupted careers or bright educational futures.

Any form of career development will be considered, including, but not limited to, trades (electrician, welder), caring professions (caregiver, nurse, doctor), finance, law, sciences, and the arts.

 

How to Apply

Must be a Nova Scotia resident.

Application

Please have prepared:

  • Proof of immigration – yours or your parent(s)
  • Two reference letters
  • Proof of enrollment at a post-secondary institution or in an accreditation program
  • An explanation of why you are eligible for this award
  • A story about an experience in your life that was important to you
  • An explanation of your financial need
  • A clearly-defined learning plan

Applicants will be adjudicated upon the basis of their financial need, clearly outlined learning plan, and references.
