The Manitoba Canola Growers Association represents the approximately 7500 farmers in the province that grow canola.  MCGA uses the canola check off dollars for “seed money” to grow the future. Every dollar spent is leveraged at the local, national, and international levels, and studies show that every dollar invested by growers results in an impressive return on investment.

The $1,000 scholarships are available to students who are from a farm that is a member of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association and are planning to attend post secondary education in any field within two years of graduating.

How to Apply

The Manitoba Canola Growers Scholarship Program is available to Manitoba high school students
who are enrolled in their final year of high school and eligible to graduate in 2023. Those eligible for
a scholarship must be from a farm that is a member of the Manitoba Canola Growers Association
and must be planning to enroll at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Manitoba Canola Growers recognizes that people from a variety of educational faculties contribute
to the success of the agriculture industry. For that reason we are keeping the eligibility open to all
post secondary programs.

All submissions must include the following to be considered:

  • Complete Application Form (typed or printed)
  • Two Reference Letters
  • University/College Acceptance Letter
  • Working Copy of High School Transcript
