CalgaryToSpace Mission Patch Scholarship

The CalgaryToSpace student team is excited to offer two, $2500 CAD scholarships to deserving students in Alberta interested in studying space technology.

Mission patches are an essential symbol of unique space missions. Let your creativity shine, and help us design the mission patch for the first student-created CubeSat in Calgary. This scholarship is a unique opportunity to combine your art skills with a passion for engineering. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

How to Apply

You must be a current high school student (grades 10-12), residing and attending a high school in Alberta, or graduating high school in 2022.

Combine your passion for art and engineering! This scholarship challenges you to create an original mission patch for the #CalgaryToSpace CTS-SAT-1 mission. Application

The mission patch scholarship components will be evaluated as follows:

20% – Mission Patch Design

40% – Written explanation of the design

40% – Written explanation of interest in space, and financial need

In order for your submission to be considered, please ensure the following:

  1. All entries must be submitted using the online application. Entries will not be accepted through email.

  2. The proposed mission patch design and satellite name must be your own unique work/idea.

  3. You may enter both the Mission Patch Scholarship and the Satellite Naming Scholarship.

  4. Only one submission per person, per scholarship, is allowed.
